Freaky Dancing - Part 2

Mixes and sets

A fairly intense mix of bizarre and eclectic tunes designed to make you dance in a frantic, jerking, tribal, and ultimately embarrassing fashion. The idea was to upset the usual flow of a mix and make it rhythmically disjointed but still somehow flow into a cohesive whole.

This mix is for AWOLGina, with thanks for all her support, inspiration and encouragement. Hope you enjoy it, Gina!

50 tracks spread over 3 hours and 20 minutes. This is the second half of the mix.

Part 1 of the mix is here.

Afraid of Americans - Rock Mix

Mixes and sets

*Warning!* Offensive lyrics - definitely NSFW, children, etc. LOTS of swearing at the end, so don't upset yourself or others with it. 'So What' even offends people who 'aren't easily offended'... you have been warned!

If you're into rock, grunge, stoner rock, electro rock, goth and punk, though, you should find it enjoyable.

This is a fairly random, high energy mix, based on the loose theme of "rock stuff that goes with David Bowie's 'Afraid of Americans' song".

Jayne County is probably my favourite punk rock performer, along with John Lydon/Johnny Rotten. Punk needs more witty, sassy, confrontational, transgender icons, and her song 'Fuck Off' should have been a punk anthem alongside 'God Save the Queen' or 'Anarchy In The UK'. her autobiography is excellent as well. [end of my tuppence worth]
